People consultancy lights the spark for future growth following first successful six months in business.

A North East based learning and organisational development company have celebrated their first six months in business with ambitious plans for future long-term growth.

People Spark Solutions Ltd, launched by Managing Director Scott Smith in July 2020, support businesses with organisational learning, training, talent, and employee engagement and have experienced rapid growth in all areas of the business.

Scott has extensive experience of managing organisational and cultural changes following a successful career with global organisations.  He has a passion for people and business, which is reflected in his recent studies and projects and via his volunteer role as Vice-Chair of the CIPD North East of England branch (the professional body for HR and People Development).

Despite lockdown measures, the company held a virtual online launch event in July and were successful in securing immediate business with both public and private sector clients and more recently have worked with multiple clients in the social housing sector on employee needs and future of work research in addition to virtual learning projects.

Newcastle University graduate, Dustin Hafki, who has a degree in Global Human Resource Management, has been with the company since its launch, having joined in July 2020 as their Business Consultant focusing on People & Research.  Originally planned as a three-month placement, due to his outstanding research experience and consultancy skills, Dustin is now employed by the business on a permanent basis and has been successful in securing a raft of new projects.

As 2020 drew to a close, five retained clients had been secured and over fifteen projects completed, including research, talent solutions, leadership development and events on topical people challenges.

Managing Director, Scott Smith, commented, “As a new business start-up, we are delighted with the continuing success and growth of the business, we have recruited our first employee, delivered multiple projects and consultancy services to businesses across the UK and as a result of our expanding customer base, will be looking to add to our team in the coming months.

Due to the significant disruption of the last 12 months, businesses have needed to adapt quickly, and many have gone through major digital transformations.  Employees are a business’s biggest asset and should be their best advocate, we have worked with our clients to ensure their staff have been fully involved with many major changes and maintained their motivation, support, and engagement to ensure all objectives are achieved.
